Ted Talk: “How I Brought a River, and my City, Back to Life”. By: Aziza Chaouni. The Fez River is in the Medina of Fez, Morocco. Once called the “soul” of the city. The river got polluted with sewage and pollution and was covered bit by bit until nothing remained, in the 1950’s. Aziza is telling her story on how she transforms her river back to its former glory, and her city in the process. She uncovered the river with a group of engineers. She cleaned the water and made it accessible to the people.

I liked this talk; you can tell she is very determined to fix the river and keep the city alive. She laid out many steps that she has already and will make in the near future. I think it’s a big process and will succeed and the city of Fez will live. I like how she had pictures of her steps and how they will all look once finished.
