Thanksgiving is my
second favorite holiday right behind Christmas and I think everyone else would
agree that they like this holiday as well. I like it so much because it brings
me and my small family together at my grandma’s house and we all watch the
lions lose and eat great food. More and more stores keep starting to open on
Thanksgiving, which to me isn’t a good thing. If more stores keep opening than
they will all need more workers to work, and by needing this, it will take
people away from spending time with their families, ruining Thanksgiving for a
lot of people. I think about all stores
should be closed down, black Friday is the very next day and stores can make
their holiday profit then.
People shouldn’t be
forced to work on Thanksgiving, especially if they have plans with their family.
I don’t see the reason to have so many stores trying to outdo each other on
thanksgiving by trying to be open first and beat their competitors. If people
need anything on thanksgiving from a store than they should get it a day or two
in advance and not wait till the last minute. If stores want to be open on
Thanksgiving so early than they should at least open their doors as soon as
they can for black Friday but not all on Thanksgiving, to me that is unfair
for all the workers that must go out and work and miss out on this delicious
holiday.
